Maria was a girl that I met while on a mission trip to Peru in March of 2017. The time we shared together has had a life long impact on my life. This painting was a way to help me remember all the important lessons that I learned. I painted this picture based off of a picture I captured while I was there. Using a monochromatic pallet, I explored tonality and how it can be perceived.
