Abide Conference

This whole theme started with the word "Abide". This word is in a number of places in the Bible, but most heavily used when talking about the Holy Spirit. I wanted to incorporate a dove into the logo because of its visual representation of the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus during his baptism (Matthew 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; John 1:32). I also wanted to achieve a feeling of connection that is often felt between the believer and the Holy Spirit, so I extending the "A" over to the "b".

The imagery I used was inspired by the tagline, "Holding Fast in Suffering". Suffering can often be described as a long journey with its lows and highs. I used grand mountains to represent this. I also wanted there to be a feeling of hope. A hope that is stirred within us by the Holy Spirit. I used a soothing color pallet and a resting figure to reflect this.

I also made some product for this conference. The style was inspired by art that is created through block printing.
